A few wildlife shots with the A7RII and Tamron 150-600 (Canon mount with Metabones IV)
I normally shoot wildlife with my Canons, but I thought I'd test the Sony. I was impressed actually, although AF is a bit worse at least in terms of speed and locking ability.

Some of these are near 100% crops.

Superb Set.

They are a great set. And on a ff with high mp count. I think it is my imagination but I like the images with this lens on my FF 6D better than on the crop 7D2.

Maybe it is just me, but that is the gut feeling I get.

I definitely agree with you. As long as you're not focal length limited (can't get close enough for a good FF framing), I too prefer it on FF to any of my crop bodies.

Good news Peter.

Any update on the panning VR firmware then, perhaps you had your problem when you tried it last?

I have not try it out yet for panning Lester nor in BIF. I will report soon when I do. Thanks

Peter, your Tamron seems really great now. Gabe, the Sony looks a great camera, even for birding!

Thanks George. I tried the bif today and really satistfied with the result before the fix I never had this result before. I am glad I did not hesitate to sent and went with my intuition that something is wrong after the 2nd firmware update but not sure if that was really the culprit or me ;). Anyway so far so good even with the bif now.

Peter remember, it's 8 hour drive either way for me just to get a glimpse of an eagle. You are so lucky!
