With a just announced US price of $1,069 and a feature rich description - I'm wondering how many people are eagerly awaiting some reviews with serious interest in possibly purchasing?

The MTF's are looking pretty good for both APS-C and 35mm digital users. However, I would like to see what the image quality is like for the ranges in between. This lens would be something used for outdoor events as it's too slow to be used indoors without cranking the ISO to high levels.

I just checked, and you are correct.

If steroids are illegal for athletes, should PS be illegal for models?

Looks like a couple of bricks and mortar retailers here in the Pacific NW are taking pre-orders.
I'm told that online retailers will follow soon.

A 150-600mm a travel lens of choice?

Price seems amazing, we'll have to see what the performance is like.
