Overall, I think it's a good photo. I like the feel and the flare/vignette or color on the edge gives it a vintage look. I like the harsh shadows behind the subjects on the brick. I like how the light quickly fades into darkness in the top right corner - whether it's a vignette or focused lighting - I think it works here. I don't care for the helmet on the floor. I thing it's too random and doesn't tie into anything in the photo. This looks like an album cover for a rock band. Good job.

My thoughts exactly. The helmet just kind of comes from nowhere. You could have put a basketball, an orange...anything in there and it would have the same effect. Which is..'why is that there?'

Otherwise I think it's a cool shot.

Thanks to both if you for the great comments...

I feel I need to explain, which I can now see is hard to see as this image is taken out of the context...

I did this photoshoot for a Barber Shop called "Brits"

The theme is very London to Brighton, 60s Mod style.. We had a scooter club also turn up for it.. Hence the helmet with the Union Jack..

But you guys are right... It makes no sense from the outsider not know what the reason behind the shoot was!

Thanks again for your input guys! Really appreciate itz

Even if it means something, it should do more than just stick in the edge of the shot.

While I certainly understand wanting the Union Jack in the photo for a shoot called "Brits", I think it would have worked better if there was a semi-faded Union Jack painted on the brick wall or on the sidewalk. If the helmet was the only thing you had available with the Union Jack, I would have tried to include a portion of the scooter in the photo just to tie the helmet to something.

Good job with the lighting and processing though. I absolutely love the processing and the lighting.
