Hey guys, I would like to find a good wireless or wired (If it is long enough) Lavalier so that I may do tutorial video's on YouTube without any background noises. I live near an airport and also there are vehicles going back and forth in our neighborhood and its hard to record any video without the background noise being so loud. Are there any Lavaliers that cancels this out?

Thank you in advance!

One more thing, does the microphones such as the Rode VideoMic attach on the camera still captures noisy background? correct me if I'm wrong.

here is our video by the way, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=toczOT0bfco (external link) at the 30 second mark, you could hear background noise that I really want to avoid or get rid of :(

Wireless in that price range will be terrible, so either a small digital recorder with a wired lav on the subject or something like the Shure SM93 and a long XLR cable to a more proper recorder.

And yes, a Rode VideoMic will capture anything its pointing at with some side and more rear rejection.

Next time I suggest posting vid stuff in the video forum ;) It's further down.

I bought an ATR 3350 for about 20 bucks US (SGD30+) and plugged it into a Zoom H1 80 USD / 110 SGD here for this:

I then upgraded it to a wireless Sennheiser G3 (USD 500+ / SGD 640) set and filmed in a very noisy environment, which didn't work out quite as good (plus my mic placement was further), seen here:

There is an audio tech $20 wired lav from amazon that would work well for a basic interview setup. Clip the mic on your jacket and connect it directly to the video recording device.
