Carolina or Black-capped Chickadee?

Which one is this? What are the distinguishing characteristics that make that ID?

The best way to decipher between the two is geographic location. But if you happen to meet this fella on diverging grounds with it's closely related species here is a nice explanation between the two straight from Cornell Lab.

I personally would ID this as a Carolina without knowing where you took it
