I just noticed that the 35mm f/1.4 Art lens by SIgma is $800 instead of the usual $900 on Amazon today:

All mounts.

My imagine composition sucks. I need a heavier lens.

Looks like just the Canon mount is cheaper. Maybe they're trying to catch some folks who missed the Lightning Deal earlier this week.

It was 699 a few days ago for a lightening deal on Amazon. Hopefully folks grabbed one then.

That's what I was saying. The Lightning deal was sold out in a flash (pun intended).

U can always try greentoe reverse auction. Do a search in this forum if your not familiar. Early November I picked one up for 780 when the going rate was 899.

Yep! :D

I'm very interested on your opinion of the Sigma 35 vs the Canon 50L using your 6D when you get around to formulating one. Two great to legendary lenses within a few hundred $$ of one another.

Oh no i didn't get the Sigma 35 1.4 but i did used it when i had d800.
IMO both are great, i think it's more of which focal length than anything. 35mm didn't do it for me because i have always used 50mm. Finally got the 50L mainly due to 1.2 and little less hassle with lens correction to 3rd Party lens in LR.

The sigma 35mm 1.4 is a great. Most reveiws say more sharp than nikon/canon.

What is their not to love? 1.4 lens under a grand? I don't know how many new 1.4 lenes come under a grand but not that many. (50mm 1.4)
