Garner State Park is in central Texas, which is beautiful any time of year but even more so in the fall. The park sits on the Frio River. C&C welcome and hope you like 'em.

Thanks for these photos...I grew up in Texas and Garner was a big part of my me and my Father's life. We camped there countless times in the 70s and early 80s. Exploring Horseshoe Mountain and the caves covered in Daddy Long Leg spiders so thick it made the cave walls alive. I remember vividly riding on my Father's shoulders taking in the scenery as we floated down the Frio.

Cool... Garner is amazing and is the most popular park in Texas. During the summer, they tell me that the Day Use line stretches out to the highway. Anyway, it was a little chilly for the spiders but we did get a cave shot. Lots of skunks, though.

Book early! Texas SP will let you book 1 year in advance. You don't know if the weather will be perfect or freezing, so I recommend a cabin for Nov and later. Driving the surrounding country side is fantastic, too.
