Best? Every image I took.
Why? None of those moments could be brought back to look at in any other way.

My personal best or most meaningful, the photo I captured during the Canadian Grand Prix, after Sebastian Vettel won his first race on Canadian soil, my first F1 race that I have seen live in person, AND the same photo he would sign for me after he won the World Drivers Championship for the 4th time in a row in India.

I love it, he is such a bad ass!

This year I figured out how to fake reflections in photoshop; this year I also got a new job on one of the most iconic airplanes. Early one morningI had a great reflection going in real life, and it was of my new plane.

My best last year. I know it has problems, but it's my best. It was a lucky shot. I'm not used to such luck at all. I was lucky it came out as well as it did considering I wasn't really ready for it, lucky that the vulture flew so close, and lucky that he flew where he did.

It pales (understatement) to all others I see here, but maybe someone else can appreciate it if for no other reason than the serendipity of it.

I appreciate it! A couple have been flying near my home and I have failed to catch them numerous times. Either I don't have the camera out, the wrong lens is on, settings need adjustment and the bird is too far by that time. I am determined to get a vulture photo, one day...

I don't know if it is my best, but this is the photo that got me once again addicted to photography after a long break. I was taking alot of photos of arthropoda with my phone and a friend suggested I include the kid. I did and was encouraged to upload to Nat Geo "Your Shot". It was my first upload but it made it in the Daily Dozen and got an editors note. It was all downhill from there and a short time before I bought a new dslr that was compatible with the Canon lenses I already had. ;-)a

Another picture in this series was 'explored' but this one is my favorite though it got little attention :) This is my favorite of 2013 and probably for life :)
Why? Just the sheer majesty of what I saw.

As much as I like bears I've give an arm for the owl pic above!

That's a one-in-a-lifetime shot Medicine Man and perfectly captured. I was watching a NAT GEO special about a week ago and they photographer/videographer was talking about the thrill of seeing a mother Polar Bear with its cubs. Your photo remind me of that and started me dreaming about being there to see something that spectacular. I'd gladly trade a Screech Owl shot for a shot like yours.

I think this is my best. I lit it well and the subject, of course, is my favorite.

Probably not the best but is by far my favorite. It was taken at a very mystical place: Quinta da Regaleira in Sintra, Portugal. This was shot inside a well. There are some crazy dark tunnels that lead this well to other places in the Quinta. As I was leaving and climbing the stairs after taking not very interesting photos, a group arrived and started to perform some kind of ritual just for a few seconds. Luckily i got the shot.
