My wife bought a picture frame from a large department store around 2007 that contained this stock image in black and white. She really liked the image and wanted me to make one in the same pose. Not sure how completely serious she was at the time. The funny thing is, I was looking at some work done by Domani Studios and what would you know, there was that image again!

So, all you photo sleuths out there ... can you tell me more about this image?

Here is all I know: the copyright is held by Digital Vision. They were bought out by Getty in 2005. They had an office in London and NY. The images do seem to come from the UK region.

The following sequences are DV's part numbers and do seem to be the same couple and photographer. You can search them on Getty's site.

dv1204003, dv1204004, dv1204005, dv1204007, dv1204008, dv1204009, dv1204010, dv1204011, dv1204013, dv1204014, dv1204015, dv1204016, dv1204017, dv1204018, dv1204019, dv1204020.

I don't see how anybody but Domani Studio could possibly know that information. Have you contacted them?

I guess I'm missing the point of the inquiry. You have identified the business that created the image. But unless you just feel you must have the same gate why bother?

Gonzogolf,
This is just for fun ... I was curious about the area.

sspellman,
Domani Studio simply purchased the stock image, they won't know anything about it.

As a stock image this has been used way too often and all around the world for there to be any chance of finding the original. A quick search found uses as far back as 2008 and results as far as Russia, Korea and use by lifestyle ads, escort agencies, wrought iron gate companies, etc.

who gives a rat crap how much gear you can list?

Yeah, it has really been over exposed ... that is why I was shocked to see it used by Domani. I bet it was just for a mockup, I don't see GC Watches allowing that to go live.
