I am using a combination of speedlights (YN-56*) and Godox AD-360s. I will probably be switching over to the V850s so I can use one triggering system.

I'm looking for an octabox that'll work well with either. Seems like my best bet are the umbrella style boxes, like the Westcott 43" Orb. I would use it with the Phottix multi-boom.

If you're interested in the Multi Boom, check out the new 28" version (external link) as well.

The new version will fit up to 50" softboxes, its more balanced on the stand, and it also has a single flash mount as well now which is great for mounting the AD360 etc on center.

I know its not cheap (that's why the 16" was kept simple), but this lives on my light stand now, because its really an ideal portable grip arm for small lights like the 360 and speedlites. So you can maneuver the flash into any position.

A grip arm with just one grip head is much heavier, and they are either 20" or 40", which is often either a bit too short, or too long to carry easily. So the 28" length is ideal for this. If you have the 16" already you can mix and match parts (like the dual base plate, and compact column).

The 16" version does the job well too, but you would need the short Manfrotto column extension to fit the 43" Apollo.

Oh man, I may return the 16" I got from Amazon. I actually have the 50" Cheetah softbox...
