Canon 70D, Wifi access point with Android

Did you ever get the wifi to work? I just got the camera and cant keep connected to my wifi, shows "no internet connection available" after about 30 seconds. I have an HTC One and have spent a good hour on the phone with Canon with no luck as the camera connects juts fine to my home computer.
Help!!

Just got hold of the 70d yesterday and tried the wifi connection. Getting on to the infrastructure was OK (in the end) but I struggled with using the camera as an access point. I found this forum and a post by Pillainp pointed me in the right direction. It now works!! YAY!
The phone is a Galaxy S4 and remote connection via my home network is fine. To get it to connect directly to the 70d I turned off Mobile Data. >Settings > Connections Tab > More networks > Mobile networks and untick mobile data. Back into wifi on the phone and the camera was in the list, click to join, enter the key, turn on the remote app and there was the 70d.

Just thought I'd post this in case someone else was struggling and thanks to Pillainp for the inspiration.

I'm off to browse the forum now.
