I know these are not the amazing Snowy Owl photos I keep getting jealous about and know I wont get any here in Southern AZ but I made it out yesterday for an hour and came up with a few cooperative subjects.
Im also trying to get my new IPS monitor calibrated and get my first LR4 photos on my new (to me) windows 7 machine processed.
They dont look as good on here as my macbook pro but I really wanted a desktop again.

I cant quite tell if the Vermilion is a female or immature male.

Beautiful captures Jeremy, can't wait 'til my 100-400 arrives so I can tighter shots of the songbirds.

Very nice on both counts, Jeremy; I've never gotten close to either of these species.

Thanks John and Al.
These 2 were cooperative and kept coming back to the same perches. I wish I could have shot some in flight but the light was spotty in the tree canopy.

Very pretty. Have fun with your new computer. I'm moving from a Dell desktop to an imac all in one desktop with IPS display...so much to learn before I start putting photos on it. I've never had a mac.

You'll like it after you get used to it. I just switched because I was working on a laptop.

Excellent clarity Jeremy, they look very good on this desktop LED monitor. The only thing I am not sure of is the Vermillion, it is more orange than red, but the green in the back is perfect, so I think that the color is what it is. Beautiful shots!

Thanks Bret.
This Vermilion was an odd color. I think its an immature male and thus the
colors are odd. It was acting pretty dominant in the area is was perching. Chasing the Phoebe around and such.

You got them to pose for you, Jeremy! Lovely shots!

If I don't get the shots I want with the gear I have, the only optics I need to examine is the mirror on the bathroom wall. The root cause will be there.
