Both are fantastic, you just need to decide what is more important to you--length or versatility .

The colors and sharpness of my 60D/200 2.8ii combo can be eye-popping on either a tripod or monopod. I do suspect that you get away with hand-holding the 135/2 much more than you can the 200 2.8, though.
