Dec 24, 2013 13:59 | #4 Very interested. Like everyone else, I want to know what others think of this lens before I get out the plastic. Like what I'm hearing about the bokeh, but is it sharp enough at 600mm? Sold my Sigma BigmOS because of softness at 500mm and the fact that the barrel lock would never hold. Got tired of carrying around that lens with the barrel extended to the maximum length. My Gear: 6D, 7D, EOS-M w EF-M 22 f2 STM and EF-M 18-55 f3.5-5.6 IS STM, 17-40L f4, 24-70L f2.8, 100 f2.8 non-IS macro, 70-200L f/4 IS, 400L f5.6,, Canon 1.4x II TC, Canon Speedlite 430 EX II, Better Beamer. Manfrotto carbon fiber tripod, 2 monopods, Manfrotto ballhead and pistol grip tripod heads.

Dec 25, 2013 00:00 | #6 I wish Tamron would have made a 600 6.3 prime that was sharp at 600. Maybe even make the prime version and the 150-600 version and let me people decide whether they want versatility or better AF and IQ. Would this have been feasible you think for roughly the same cost as the 150-600? Gear: 6D, 7d Mark II, Rokinon 14mm 2.8, Canon 16-35 f4 IS, Sigma 24mm 1.8, Canon 70-200 f4 (non IS), Sigma 500 4.5 DG, Kenko 1.4x & 2x converters
