5d mark ii + 135mm or 7d + 85mm 1.2 ii?

If you have an 85L, 100L, and 70-200 II, you 1000000000% don't need a 135L.

5D2's AF system is 100% fine. Do you really need to spend hundreds of dollars to move your servo AF point a smidgen across the frame? If the answer is really yes (really?), I'd get rid of all the lenses in your signature except the 85L, 100L, and 70-200, and put the money towards a 5D3.

Stationary targets I agree. Otherwise it is not good if you need to shoot outer points and fast apertures.

I really do think I have gear acquisition syndrome. It's always that 1 stop of light that makes me wish I had. I like large colorful bokeh balls

But, with the 135mm aside, I did have a lot of fun with my 70-200mm. I went to the park with my little nieces and racked out the tripod and just shot away. It is undoubtedly the greatest piece of machinery ever made!

The weight of the 70-200 is what shoots it down from being an ideal carry around lens when shooting pics of the family. Just the idea of lugging around a tripod as well sends a shudder down my spine. When I sold mine for lighter lens such as the 135l or 85 I didn't miss it a bit. My arm sure didn't miss it.

Nice lens but not my choice for an everyday carry around lens.

Good Evening, I don't have either the 5D 2 or 5D 3.......But the Canon 5d c & 135 F2 is Great.......I use this combo almost 90% of time for Outdoor Portraits is HARD to Beat...IMHO........

The tripod combined with the 70-200mm does sound scary, but it's not too bad at the playground. The zoom lens allows me to stay stationary. And the ball head allows me to use it as a pivot, sorta like what a machine gun does on a tripod. I loosen the head and just shoot away without IS.

I thought you were joking with the tripod comment..... it's overkill, and your better off moving around with a lighter lens to get better shots...

I actually think its ok at the park. If it were a zoo and required lots of walking, I think it would be better to go with a light setup without a tripod.
