bellows with shift

hi folks
have any of you used one of these - or something like it?
I was just wondering what kind of effect it can cause

pure curiosity....

I assume it acts rather like a tilt/shift macro lens would. Ie you can move the focal plane around but obviously only useful for fairly static subjects. I have only seen someone playing with a large format plate camera with a tilt shift bellow arrangement and they could get some rather odd focal planes.
