As luck would have it, I saw that Christopher Dodds was running an osprey tour here during my trip, so I re-organized my movements, and had a ball. I had huey on my 1d, and my 400 on my 5d, and I would swap cameras as the birds were far away or close etc. I can only handhold huey for a very short period of time, no tripods on the boat, and for good reason. Here is a pic of me handholding, and a few of my favourite imagess. So may still to process!!

Excellent shots Tina, very well done.
Looks like Huey would be tough to handhold for any length of time.
Guessing its 500 f4.
Stuart.

So nice to see your post this morning Tina. Huey sure performed like a champ, he couldn't have done it without you. :-) 800mm standing in a boat is no easy task but if anyone can do it, you can. Great shots, I can't wait to see more from your visit. I'm so glad we got to meet, it was a pleasure shooting with you. Next time let's arrange at least a couple of days out.

Huey is 80mm Stuart. Took a lot of soul searching, and researching, and finally decided on the 800. because it is so big, I called it Huey, after the baby duck cartoon, as it is my oversized baby.
