I've noticed many of the pictures posted on the various forums here have picture style frames added to them to enhance the presentation. What software is being used to do this....does the adobe elements program have an option to do this? Thanks

You can easily add frames and mattes to images using Corel Paint Shop Pro and Corel Photo Album. By purchasing the older versions PSP9 and PA5 from eBay -- you can save lots of money. Many users and PSP sites post additional frame templates.

Frames using styles are real easy in PS, only takes 10 seconds and the amount of styles bundled gives you many looks .

Open your image and use your rectangle tool to draw out a box to the inside dimension of your intended frame , then invert your selection ,, now copy paste ,, you should have the intended frame on its own layer above the original image , now just apply a style to it from your styles tab , the small arrow in the corner allows you to load a new set to choose from , just click on a new one when you want a new frame look .
You can also fine tune a style by looking in your layers pallet at the layer you applied the style to , double click on the small f in the corner to open the properties of the style which you can fully tweak .
