I really like the latter much more, and am interest to see what others opinions would be. Perhaps they both too saturated?. Also any critique, comments, would be much appreciated.

The new one is definitely better. No muddy shadows and no blown highlights. Plus no halos. Nicely done. What are you doing differently?

Old technique was using Photomatix, and Edited with LR4, Vivaza, and Color Efex Pro 4 to lighten and see more details on dock. However, it seems to me that too much details might not look as good.

New HDR was combined using PS6, then all edit was done in LR5. Left more shadows in, less of clarity and sharpening. Using LR5, hold Alt and adjusted white/black/shadow,highlight to see where blown out was and back off from it. Burned/darkened left side of lighthouse more to keep consistent exposure/hue with right side (that was made uneven by HDR).

Tonality in the new HDR is far superior to the first. Well done.

Yes, the tonality is better in #2. I would reduce the saturation just a touch, to make it more "normal" looking.

It was a 5 shot HDR. (-2 EV to 2 EV)

Ya I had a feeling I went a bit far with the saturation.

Thank you everyone for their comments and vote.

I hate to be a buzz kill, however, I like the first one better.

I think the overall image quality in the second is better, but the signal house feels underexposed, to me.

Second image is a vast improvement. I would print and hang it.
