Hows it compare to EF 24-105?

Jan 08, 2014 20:58 | #5 Just arrived I haven't tuned the AFMA yet or calibrated with the DOC, but I mounted it to ensure all was operating correctly with out faults. First impressions: this is going to be as sharp as my 24-70II if not sharper! But I will wait till I have tuned, tested and compared before making too many claims. The zoom ring is firm, its feel very consistent moving from wide to long and back, much nicer than the 24-70II, which requires less torque to move to wide than moving toward long. Jan 09, 2014 02:32 | #6 My copy out of the box back focused slightly on my 5D3, a quick test determined that it was consistent at all focal lengths and distances, I adjusted the lens using the DOC to -3 on all 16 settings before continuing the following:- And a couple of my wife in the studio, which is where I intend to use this lens, with 100% crops 100% crop of above 100% crop of above Bodies - Canon EOS 5DIII | EOS 6D
