Snowy Owls are a rare find in Wisconsin....usually.
This year seems to be an exception. I feel very fortunate to have been able to see this one. These were taken from a pretty significant distance. Taken with 1D MKIV, 500mmf/4L, with a 1.4 extender. 1/1000, f/9.0 ISO 200 on a tripod. Both are cropped.
Through the first 64 years of my life I'd not seen one of these. I've seen 5 since December 24th although I'm probably seeing the same owls, I believe there are two.
