Who would you like to see re instated in this years Pardon Fairy lottery ?

i would like to see Mickeyjuice (https://photography-on-the.net/forum/member.php?u=9333) be invited back, i always enjoyed his straight to the point critiques and feel his contributions were cut short

can anybody think of anyone else that is just as deserving ?

The guy who created, did, or promoted the smudge painting videos. Can't remember the user name, tho. Don't even know if he was booted off, but I think he was.

I would like to second that. He showed a great new area for revenue, maybe he did cross the line but I would like to see him back while still following the rules.

I pm'd you the link to the thread that Pekka closed due to the violations stated within his last post.

I don't think this is one inmate that will be back, but who knows this time of year.

Sorry, won't happen. That he would suddenly behave by the rules is as likely as an ice cube surviving in Sahara.

Mods did try hard to come up with names, but this year we did not find anyone worthy of pardon. Suggestions are always welcome.

I never knew why he got banned. If it's something not to be discussed, so be it. But personally, I never saw him engaged in any anti-TOS behavior.

If you're speaking of the smudge painting person, without a name the Pardon Fairy wouldn't be able to help. FWIW, I searched the forums back to 2007 and couldn't find anyone talking about smudge painting tutorials who was banned. Pekka was responding to the original suggestion.

Well, I appreciate you having a look. I certainly didn't mean to do that to you. I found him in research. His real name was Brad Buttry (spelling?) He produced and sold tutorial DVDs about smudge painting. Unfortunately, cannot remember his online name.

Curiously enough, that was one of his user names here, but he didn't show up under "smudge painting", just under a more generic "virtual oil paintings". Pekka had this to say publicly about his banning.

Thanks for looking it up again, Jon. Yes, during the last few years terms and definitions have changed from "virtual oil painting"to "smudge painting."

So is multiple accounts the "unpardonable" sin? I guess opinions vary. Over the years I have read things that, to me. are more (personally) egregious and more offensive than multiple accounts.

Nonetheless, I re-nominate him if he wants to come back.
