Sanity check, please

Need to know if I have to recalibrate... this photo looks nice and contrasty on my monitor, but kind of washed out on the iPad. iPad is usually pretty well calibrated.

I just held my iPad2 next to my Dell IPS calibrated monitor. Her skin is similar (iPad slightly brighter) but the shadows are quite a bit lighter on the iPad. The iPad also looks slightly green and loses the slight pink in her cheeks.

So it looks OK on your monitor then ? I am using a different RAW program, wonder if it throws off the iPad. May need to change the embedded profile settings.

OK, I think I found the culprit.

In PN, I was outputting Jpegs using "sRGB" preset. When I had this problem I changed it to "AdobeRGB" but it didn't help. I took another look this morning and sure enough, there's 2 different standards for each color space - the new (AdobeRGB and sRGB) and old (Adobe RGB 1998 and sRGB 21966-2.1). Using old standards not only seems to fix the problem with washed out shadows on the iPad, but also the rendering issue I had with Faststone.
