Nice Mandarin Duck
The LBJ first glance thought may be Willow Warbler but then they are only expected in Britain after April -September....second thoughts probably a ChiffChaff which can be seen all year round but primarily a summer visitor as well...So I am left somewhat confused....

I would say your Mystery bird is a Chiffchaff, it has a short primary projection (wing legnth over rump) longer in Willow Warbler + dark legs, not always a good pointer. Some Chiffchaffs now winter in the UK
