Awesome, though I havent figured out where I access things like the photo courses, or how to access the cloud. It shows me as VIP member, which I guess is a good start.

Well, it's been free for over a year now. If fact, there has never, ever been a charge for it. There is already a thread about it in the Market Watch section.

I joined last week but have yet to get any of the confirmation emails. I even placed an order that is due to arrive any day now... Ah well, I'll just keep my eyes open.

I'm puzzled as to where I get any of the new VIP swag (metal print, or access the training courses) It says VIP Member when I log in but maybe I'm waiting on the email referenced above?

Jim, I got an e-mail the next day. It included a link that showed all the extra stuff that you can access. If you don't get it soon, I am sure Helen would be willing to look into it and see what might be going on.
