Jan 02, 2014 18:19 | #6 Love the 3rd one down as well. Sells that lens for sure. (Not to detract from the shooter! It's only as good as who's holding it) I just ordered the 1.8, hopefully it can produce something half as good. 6D | EF 35 f2 IS | EF 50 f1.4 | EF 85 f1.8 | EF 135 f2.0

I love the processing here, any insight to your techniques? Or is it closely guarded ![]() The 1.8 is a fantastic lens. I owned it before the 1.2, and miss its AF, but what matters to me is the image, which is why the 1.2 was purchased. Trent Gillespie

Jan 04, 2014 12:51 | #9 The Canon 85mm 1.2 is a serious shot maker .No serious professional photographer can work without one .The 24-70mm 2.8 and 70-200mm 2.8 gets the pictures but 85mm 1.2 get your name out there !You just can't duplicate the bokeh with the zoom lenses .The closest you will get will be the end of the 70-200mm at 2.8 but have to be way , way back ,in order to get the shot and that complicates communication and posing unless you have an assistant who really knows what you want and how do you want it .I shoot with nikon and canon ( because of the 85mm 1.2 ).It would be a dream to have a D800 with a Canon 85mm 1.2 .That would be the flagship destroyer of camera combinations !
