Love the 3rd one down as well. Sells that lens for sure. (Not to detract from the shooter! It's only as good as who's holding it) I just ordered the 1.8, hopefully it can produce something half as good.

I love the processing here, any insight to your techniques? Or is it closely guarded :)

You'll love the 1.8 and it should hold you over.....temporarily. :)

Why thank you. It has been a journey... and bridal sessions are about as easy as it comes in regard to controlling your image. As for equipment, we use Canon 5DIIIs. The lenses used were

  • EF 135 f/2.0
  • EF 85mm f/1.2
  • EF 50mm f/1.2
  • TS-E 45mm f/2.8
  • EF 16-35mm f/2.8

I've been using my 24-70 alot less nowadays. The 135L and 85 1.8 are strapped to both cameras most of the time. Thinking of ditching the 24-70 for a wider prime. Just can't beat that prime look!

Spectacular photography! She is gorgeous and your technique is bang on, WOW!

This was my mentality with the 24-70 MKI, but the sharpness in the MKII is on par, if not better than the 24mm 1.4... The prime has the extra stops, but it wasn't worth it for us to have both lenses. With that being said, I hardly ever use it. Its on the wife's camera 80 percent of the time.
