Here is one from this morning. It would be SOOC, but I had to change it from RAW to jpeg.

It is great! Thanks for sharing.
Those seals are so frightening when they fight on the nature films. I have never left the East coast, but that would be awesome to see in person!

bugadrienne, if you want to check out more seals from Maureen's trip, there are several in Wildlife and in the Lady Photographer thread in the Lounge.

A couple of times two 8000 lb. bulls had a big fight only about 15 feet away from me; the noise is crazy loud. Unfortunately they were too close for my long lens but it was fun to watch.

I would be terrified! Aren't they huge? I can totally enjoy spiders and small stuff, but large animals frighten me badly.

Well we are up on the bluffs overlooking the beach. There is a walkway there for people to view them so even tho they may only be a few feet below us, there is a fence between us. I am sure it could be easily knocked down by a n elephant seal but they don't seem to mind the folks being there.
Personally, I have even walked down to another beach where there were a few stray E. seals on it and I stood right beside them; I am not scared of much of anything. :)

This is absolutely beautiful in every way! I love her expression and the lighting and texture are superb. This photo has feeling. :-)
