this looks amazing! is this strobe lit from the front? curious to know as the sunset forms the rim lighting and i couldn't see any clue from her eyes.. haha. also, which lens were you using?

Thank you very much;) Yes this was lit with a Einstein in 47" Octa boomed on axis slightly on camera left. My goal was to shoot this imagery as there was no key lighting source evident to really capture a surreal scene. Yeah call me crazy but I like to be different. The power was so low that there was no catch lights captured even though she was looking directly into the Octa:) This was shot with my 135L at f2.

Normally I would have posted this to the 5DIII thread, the 85 1.8 thread and this thread but I have recently found out that that annoys the hell out people so im trying to kick the habit and only post shots in one thread each :-)

Another of my great niece. Am enjoying the lightweight 50mm/1.4 until the broken left arm is healed enough to handle the extra weight.

This is really nice. Pictures like this make me think spending the money on the 85 prime is so worth it. My question is I have a 1.6 crop. Think it would be the same?
