Hello All,

Due to some events that took place I had stopped taking photos completely for about a little over a year. I was no where near a great but was on a steady climb when it comes to understanding and improving my photography skills.

Today, it is a New Year and a lot of things have been sorted out. I am happy and excited to start shooting again. I recently did a photo walk here in NYC and it felt great. I also acquired my first tripod and currently seeking a ball head:

Overall, I just wanted to say that photography has always been a great way for me to unwind and relax. I understand why I stopped and I am happy I am continuing this great hobby of mine. Looking forward in learning and contributing to this forum.

Happy New Year to all and best wishes.

Great to hear that you had your life sorted out and that you're back on tracks!
I had the same experience when I was 19: hadn't touched camera for more than 5 years, before I was able to re-establish the connection between my head and my heart..
Anyway, welcome back!

What we see depends mainly on what we look for.

Glad to hear you're practicing again. Looks like you already have a good collection of gear.

Sounds good, I tried 3 Manfrotto heads, they all dipped after I had framed the shot. Tried a couple of others after those and then I tried RRS. After a couple of years, it hasn't dipped after framing the shot.
