A few tiny Mycena mushrooms popping up after recent rain in Brisbane. All shot with the 100L and 25mm extension tube.

Very nice.
Those tiny fungi certainly are beautiful.
Size belies the beauty.

Pretty...deadly.
The yellow one on the right looks edible but without looking closely I can't really tell.

Happy to observe them, not even contemplate eating.
No idea what's edible.

There's a lady near there who eats all manner of fungi.
She's European and I accept her credentials but I'm an abstainer.

Poison mushrooms stir the imagination. There are lots of things in the woods that are poisonous, not just mushrooms. I don't eat any of those things!

Conversely, some people will tell you that those Amanita mushrooms are not as deadly as some believe, and some people eat them.

Some poison mushrooms enhance the imagination!

Archibald,,,,, "Conversely, some people will tell you that those Amanita mushrooms are not as deadly as some believe, and some people eat them." whoever those people are,,,,they are absolutely the people who you don't want to listen too ! There are a lot of safe and easy to ID mushrooms one can safely eat. To believe Stupid people that suggest eating the ones that have a know record of making people sick,,,or even killing them is a act of massive ignorance. This is not about old wives tales....there is a lot of research and facts one can read and field books that give REAL information.
