It looks like the mushrooms are starting to die off around my place, but I found these hidden in the grass.

have dried to spindly yellow stalks with collapsed black caps, and a stubbier type has sprung up in one spot on the side of the stump.

When I first moved in to the building in which I now live, I spotted these growing on a tree just outside the tower. Been wanting to post them here for a while now, but it was not till to-day that I searched for the files on my HDD. I think they're gone by now —been so for a number of years, but I cannot remember when was the last year they grew in that knot in that tree. These photos are from AD 2005.

You can see how much my photography suxed back then, what with placing the subject dead in the centre of the frame and all. :oops:

A further update on the slime mold, Stemonitis fusca.

As the fruiting bodies continue to shed spores, they get ever filmier.
