I love outdoors and don't mind getting up super early in the morning but in the winter it gets a bit harder and trickier. Motivation tanks at times honestly but what do you guys in cold weather region do to keep your motivation to shoot?

I can probably do more product photography and do indoor shoots but need some inspiration. But of course there should be a reason to. I don't want to shoot just to shoot. Afternoon is of course family time so it ends up being late at night or early in the morning to do any photography.

I'd bring my camera to work but can't bring it in the facility with strict rules nor I'd want to leave my gear in the car either.

So what do you all do? :)

These seem to look the best in the early AM before the air warms up: Two more frost close ups.

Depending on what lenses you have, Extension Tubes are fairly cheap (external link) & probably a more elegant option. ; )

you can also buy threaded filter rings that let you attach lenses that way, just have to check the filter sizes. for example, that 85/1.8 is a 58mm thread, the Nikon is probably a 52mm; you can get an adapter that has 58 on one side and 52 on the other, screw the 2 together. magnification varies depending on which lenses you put together, a shorter lens on a longer lens gives greater magnification. example, a 50 on another 50 gives 1:1 (on full-frame), a 28 on a 100 gives almost 4:1. remember on a crop camera, your final magnification is greater.

There is more to photograph is this world than inanimate objects outside man-made buildings! People, friends, family, still-life, pets, etc.
