I am working on a current series of urban decay and need to bike in about 4 miles. I have done this before but was terribly unprepared. I carried a messenger bag and tried to hold my tripod in my hand the entire trip which was very fatiguing.

Do you have any suggestions on how to mount or fix a tripod to a bicycle? what about gear bags? I am shooting with a bronica which weighs about 5lbs by itself and need to carry plenty of water.

any suggestions to make carrying all this stuff easier is appreciated.

p.s. my bicycle does not have any storage/baskets/racks

i would suggest either using bungee cords to strap the tripod to top tube of bike frame, or use a 4ft rope and tie one end to bottom of tripod and one to top and sling it over your shoulder similar to your messanger bag

I just looked up how to attach a milk crate to my bike, i think that will help by taking the weight off my shoulders but I still need a good system for my tripod, something sturdy but with easy and quick access.
