Hehe this image was taken using a white background. Using the inverse square law to get it to the required grey I found complemented the shot.. The problem with this is that there is inevitably going to be some slight fall off on the background... I know it's subjective, but I like to have a little texture in there. Mass it feel more human in a way. To me anyway.. ( I think I might be the crazy one! Reppin the 5D iii and 7D with some lenses and some lights
