I will gladly tutor you on how to link/imbed photos here if you will take me with you on your next trip to shoot there :-)

Great shots! One of my many bucket list things to see

Thanx Guy's. now just trying to work out how to "embed" ? them in the post.

I've got heap of really, really bad ones that I'd like some advice on but I think i'll put those in the appropriate place on the forum when I become a bit more familiar with how things work

Churchill was fantastic even if it was -35 deg C

Love your shots, Russell, this is definitely on my to-do list. I hear late September is a good time to go to Churchill.....just after the first snow, but before the bitter cold. How long a lens would one need to get some top shots? Would a 100-400 be long enough or should a 500 be dragged along?

To embed your pics from Flickr,

1. Click on the box with the arrow coming out of it at the bottom of your Flickr pic
2. Select "Grab the HTML/BBCode"
3. Make sure the BB Code button is selected at the bottom
4. Select ALL of the text in the text box (usually just a right-click and <copy>;)
5. Paste all of the text directly into your thread on here

Thanx Ian. hope this works.

All my shots were taken with a 70-300 and while I've been happy with it so far a bit more reach would of been good, especially out of the chopper which was about 100mt above the ground.
There was a young bloke on the tundra with us one day who had a 70-200 with a 2x converter and he was filling the frame just that little bit more I thought to myself......yep should have spent the extra $$$ last year when I bought the 70-300.
We were there in mid November at the end of the season and were a bit disappointed we didn't see more bears "up close" while on the tundra.
Still worth the trip and we had a great time but I've since talked to other people who only seen 1 bear in two days on the tundra

That second one is hysterical! It looks he fell from space, a la Superman, and left that crater where he landed :D
