I'm still in the process of filling in my stable of lenses and probably have to save for quite some time before I buy my next lense(s) so I thought I might go with an occasional rental to help tide me over until I'm ready to purchase the next one.
Here's my current setup: Canon 7D | Canon EF 100mm f/2.8L Macro IS USM | Canon EF 70-200mm f/2.8L IS II USM | Tamron 18-270mm F/3.5-6.3 Di II VC PZD | Canon Speedlite 430EX II
The next purchase(s) will be on the lower end but I'm still up in the air whether it will be a zoom, zoom/prime or just some prime lenses. I'll be looking for lenses that will be good for low light/indoor pics and also scenery/landscapes. I'd like to hear (or better yet SEE) your experience on any/all of these so I have a better idea of what to expect, ESPECIALLY in regards to what isn't obvious from the tech specs. Some combos that look interesting include (but aren't limted to) these:
Nice range but leaves me with nothing below f/2.8 and no IS
EF-S 10-22mm f/3.5-4.5 USM
EF 24-70mm f/2.8L II USM
No IS but f/1.2 would be nice for indoors/poor lighting
EF 16-35mm f/2.8L II USM
EF 50mm f/1.2L USM
A little bit wider than my Tamron but enough to justify??
EF-S 15-85mm f/3.5-5.6 IS USM
Better in poor light than my Tamron but enough to justify??
EF-S 17-55 f/2.8 IS USM
Could add the 10-22 for the ultra-wide stuff and then go with some nice primes
EF 24mm f/2.8 IS USM
EF 35mm f/2 IS USM
EF 50mm f/1.4 USM
Any experience/help with recommendations is appreciated!!
