This software works very well, and it was just updated for the 6D, I have confirmed that it works with the 6D. It is free, but you can make a donation if you wish.

Wished i wouldve looked at this thread again before i spent another $1.79 to see that my 7D has 15,821 clicks on it. DOH!!!

If you're on a Mac you can look up Shutter count in the App Store. Works well and cheap. Not too many Mac solutions for this.

i tried to download the first two links above and it both led me to spam downloads (one of which took me 20 minutes to clear, i'm not even sure i got rid of it all)

anyone have a direct download please?

Agreed, I clicked on all links and nothing tried to download, no popups, etc. Then again, I am in complete control of the browsers I use and their underlying settings/security values.
