Hello all. I am printing DVDs for a customer, and decided to go above and beyond my duties, and buy some waterproof Taiyo Yudens.
They cost about $40 more per hundred than normal Verbatim discs (The Taiyos are made by JVC), but I figured their magical water resistant powers, better finish, and supposedly better data life would be worth it.
At least, UNTIL I loaded one in my printer. Each one of these things has gigantic roller marks across the face of them once printed, all thanks to Canon's ingenious method of running rollers across the face of a disk as it prints deep inside the printer.
Is there any way to make these rollers lift, and stop grabbing the disks? Normal disks don't do it, but the Taiyo Yuden's surface, which makes the disks look great, also happens to be super sensitive. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!
*Edit*: It is a Canon MG5320 printer, if it makes any difference.
