best I can come up with is this.

Again, teh normal colour balance twaeking of the midtones and higlights - shadows didn't do much.

It's a bit green, and I think your own attempt looks fine mate to be honest :)

Were you shooting in raw or jpeg? I find shooting in RAW I can fix even the most horrendous of cock ups with my white balance.

Photshop has more customisation for JPEGs but I rekcon that working with the original RAW it would be easier to keep the original shadows and contrasts etc by simply adjusting the colour temperature of the RAW data. :)

Haha, yeah, I was shooting in jpg mode. I only have one 1GB CF card so RAW wasn't an option. Anyway, can you guys teach me how to put my signature in my images? I posted up a question on the post processing forum but I'm still confused. I've come up with a brush of my signature, but it doesn't seem to be coming out.

Stuff knows mate - I just twiddle iwth levels and exposure.

Seriously, take a couple of pics in RAW. Under expose one, and use the 'exposure' and ';contrast/brightness' settings in PhotChop to rescue it, and you'll understand why it's the way forward.

And buy more CF cards you cheapskate ;)

You couldn't have captured the drift any better- great panning, great composition. Simply awesome.

Haha yeah, I'll be getting another 1GB card pretty soon. Just waiting for some moolah from Uncle Sam. :p I need at least two cards to be able to shoot in RAW and have the same number of images I'm getting right now.

Nice edit there Church! Hehe, I'm still a noob to PS. Finally figured out how to make a signature and do it in batches. Sweet...

Thanks for the compliment ajbalazic! Hehe, this is actually my first try at panning. I've only had the XT for about a month. I actually got it because of these drift events. I finally maxed out the capabilities of my 3.2 MP Kodak P&S and realized they won't cut it for action this fast.

Man, now I'm hyped for the next event this coming March 4. I'll definitely be shooting in RAW. :D

WRT vignetting, Church is correct - it's not the best way to show off the technical side of a photo, but it would look interesting in A3 on a wall

Bang that up in a shop in a frame and someone would probably pay a few quid for it.

It's the stylisitc side to it I like. I tried it with a Vauxhall chevette HS but I don;t think it's as good.

Clicky for poor vignetting action (external link) :)
