HOSTED PHOTO DISPLAY FAILED: ATTACH id 672944 does not exist. ]
Took basketball pictures for the first time last night of our local semi-pro team and boy was I shocked to learn how difficult it is to capture a jump shot. The ball moves so fast and players and officials kept on getting in the way, how dare they!

Used my Canon 7d with a Sigma 70-200 lens and I found it allowed me to take pictures anywhere on the court but it was not wide enough to capture action under the net. So I used my second camera the Fujifilm x100 and it did a nice job - 5fps isn't too bad for a mirror-less camera. Settings ISO 5000 f4 1/400 23mm
CC and tips always welcomed.

Here are a couple with the Sigma 70-200mm. Camera settings for both pictures was ISO 6400 f3.2 1/800. Would you bump up the speed?

1/800 sec is a good shutter speed. No need to go faster.

Thanks. I'm still amazed it was taken with my Fujifilm x100. Was going to trade it for a Canon 7D but I guess it's staying in the bag.
