Just read some of the negative feedbacks, seems he sells open boxes, without the warranty cards. Other problems.

I would pass.

BVI is a great place to buy. I've bought lots of stuff from them. The ad is accurate. Nowhere does it say the camera is in a retail box. It's usually a separated kit. The body itself will be brand new and unused. I've read accounts from people I trust that Canon gave them no hassle for warranty work on bodies or lenses bought from BVI. I've never had a Canon product fail, so I can't relate any personal experience with warranties.

That said, they're only $49 more on Amazon, which will be a retail box.

49$+ tax on Amazon for me, so this is tempting. On the other hand I think I'm just going to bet on, Adorama or B&H will sell it bundled with a LP-E6 battery and junk bag & memory card for 950$ again soon. B&H had the kit with the 18-135 & the extras for 1250 and I was really tempted saturday to buy it and sell the lens but didn't pull the trigger.

Amazon had the 70D + 18-135 for $1099 last month for a day... now that was an amazing deal.

When I wrote that, it was available from B&H for 1250$ w/ an extra cannon battery (and 2% rewards). It also included some crap bag and SD card.

ah...i'm pretty bummed i didn't jump on it when it was 1099...now it's back up to $1,549 at B&H, so i'm just waiting for it to get back to $1249 that it's been the past few weeks...hopefully won't have to wait too long

Quick googline of rythers suggest heavy upselling and grey market item and bait and switch tactics.

i checked it out.
it's grey market, which is obvious.
however, on 6d and 70d, grey market = NO WIFI.
= no deal

Well they say it has wi-fi, so it's not that clear...

Built-In Wireless Connectivity

Like I said, they've got a reputation for calling you up and upselling after the fact and other bait and switch tactics. So like I said, I'll pass. Don't get me wrong, I'm looking for a deal on one, but this won't be it.
