ios 7? Iphone/Ipad?

There are two different modes:

1) Use your own wifi network
2) Have the G16 setup a ad-hoc wifi network that your ios 7 device can connect to...

You also have to have Canon Camera Window installed.

At what point are you at/stuck?

I had really good luck setting this up. I can transfer photos to my iPhone w/iOS 5.1 or my iPad with iOS 7. No problem. I have not had any time where it would not work. 'fishingjts' is correct, set the camera up to create an ad-hoc network. Canon's manual calls this connecting WITHOUT an access point (an access point being something like your wifi at home). See page 139 in the manual.

Here's the big picture the way I see it (after the initial setup has been completed):
1- put the camera into 'play' mode
2- press the wifi button on the camera
3- the camera will display "it's wifi name"
4- goto your iPhone or iPad and goto your wifi settings
5- select the camera's "wifi name" from the iDevice wifi settings
6- once connected to the camera's "wifi network", on the iDevice, start the "camera window" app
7- go back to the camera and the LCD should now be displaying a photo with some options on the bottom


That's what I remember as the general steps to get the camera to talk to an iDevice.

Good info "Two". I followed the same steps and had no problem setting up the devices. Easy to transfer the files.
