So, to start off the New Year correctly me and my photo helping friends visited four caves this past weekend. I had A LOT of lucky breaks including: having the T3i tumbling down a 20ft rocky slope and then over a 4ft drop (AND SURVIVING COMPLETELY), having the T3i fall off the tripod, putting two flashes into the creeks (both survived), getting hypothermia, and myself falling a good 40ft down a steep flowstone slope (obviously I survived).

Now, one to the reason for the post ;)

Gabe in the entrance room to Buckeye Creek Cave. Two back flashes. The mixing of cold dry air (10F) and warn humid air (55F) made the fog. Your feet froze and your head sweated.

You kinda broke one of the rules of the forum, but given that these are some incredible photos, I'll retroactively fix it:

Please, post some more! ;)

Photo Credit David A. Riggs. He took this of me about 1/3 of the way back up the pit. 45ft up, 95 to go! The orange pelican case with the camera and the blue (now muddy brown) pack with my tripods, lenses, and flashes is underneath me. The big star is from my 1000 lumen headlamp. I am glad he took this picture, it is the only shot of me in my first pit.
