I'm buying an X-E1 as soon as I can sell my 24-105L and I'm wondering what will happen. Been reading a lot about people using the Fuji's more than their FF DSLR's. I kinda hope I do like it that much, then I can pick up the new X-T1 whenever it comes out and I'll be set to sell my 6D... we'll see. I do like the idea of having a kit nearly as capable as my 6D in a smaller and lighter package.

I still have my 5D2 but it's been gathering dust in its bag for the past 9 months, along with the metric ton of glass that I haven't sold yet. Sometimes I lend it to my gf with the 35 or 50 attached on vacation so she can bring snapshots back but (don't tell her) I think I'm getting her a camera for her birthday. Leaning towards an X-20 or maybe a used X100(s). She doesn't seem to like being stuck with 35mm though.

I would not be concerned one iota about Fuji products and the companys staying power in the market place. I have been using Fuji products for over 40 years and have had 3 of their bridge cameras that met my requirements. I am satisfied enough with them to give them to my daughters and family members that express an interest in digital photography. That being said I'm not giving up my Canons for any reason.

I started considering this a while ago and it was really the lens lineup that put me off, because those fast zooms are just something I would need to do my work with, not necessarily what I'd want for my personal photography but right now I've got to prioritise the stuff that's going to pay me.

However, if the two lenses mentioned in the opening post are coming then that could be big news. The smaller, lighter and more compact body would be great for my personal work and travelling, and it seems to be working well for a few portrait photographers as well. And if they can get some of those fast zooms, it would have the whole package, really.

So to answer the question, yes, it's on my mind - not with urgency as my current camera already does everything I want from it, but when the time comes to replace that, I might well look at Fuji pretty seriously.

I rented an XE1 but the XE2 is faster and better in basically every way. That plus the new lens lineup is intriguing for sure. Unlike Sony, Fuji understands the point of an interchangeable lens system is the lenses and they are put out fast primes. They have more lenses than bodies, opposite of Sony who put out 3 or 4 cameras and 1 or 2 lenses per year (and they don't tend to be fast primes of zooms and are expensive typically).

I ve been considering this switch for months now - After using X-T1 for over 6 months, I think I am finally ready to let go of all my Canon stuff. Its a pity because my 70-210 II is has only been used for one wedding, and is not even out of warranty yet... Will be listing everything canon in the next few weeks. Goodbye canon - good-buy Fuji
