Just announced (CES? I got an email)
N100 (external link) - 12 MP, 5x zoom, tilt screen, Dual Capture (in case you ever wanted to know what your subject saw while you were taking the picture).
SX600 HS (external link) 16 MP, 18X zoom, remote shooting.
Elph 340HS (external link) - 16 MP, 12x zoom, remote shooting.

All seem to be set up for WiFi and easy Android pairing and communication, among other things.

*the SX600 HS is all about automatic shooting, so you won't find manual shooting modes for controlling shutter speed and aperture.

I'm not sure we get ELPHs across the pond - what is the difference between them and Powershots / G series ?

The Elph (US) is the Ixus in most of the rest of the world; numbers, however, can and will vary. For instance, the Elph 520 is the Ixus 500.

Canon's been calling them Elph, Ixus, and Ixy (Japan) since 2000. And the Rebels of the US were the Kiss in Japan, while everyone else called them by some three (or four) digit combo. That goes back to the film days. Marketroids have the strangest ideas!

I got an Elph 330 in early January around the time the 340 was announced. I bought it as a "cheap camera" (re: DigitalRev TV, Pro Tog Cheap Cam Challenge) in contrast to the 5DM3. I must say it is actually a very nice little camera! The WiFi between the 330 and iPhone works just fine, though I doubt I'll use WiFi very much. Battery life is decent when you take a bit of control over what the camera does. While it doesn't have manual or shoot RAW, it does have Program mode and manual ISO adjustment to 6400. (Down to 3200 it works great. I've not pushed it to 6400.)

The pictures it takes are actually pretty amazing. You won't shoot anything pro with this, but you could certainly use it when you want more control than with a cell phone. It can take a credible picture.

Downside? The flash sucks. Also, if you do video outside (I almost never do video), the wind noise makes the camera useless.

Overall I'm pleased with the 330. I can imagine the 340 will be better.

I agree, the 330 is a nice little camera. Nice sharp images and it works great for uploading images from an iPhone..Wish Canon would make remote shooting feature available on more cameras.Think they have 3 or 4 now

That would be nice, but PCmag suggests that the 340 is quite inferior to the 330. The prices of the two cameras on Amazon seem to reflect this. More's the pity. I bought the 330 as well.
