With temperatures at -15 degrees F, 22 mph wind and deep snow blowing, the birds were coming in high numbers to my new set up, looking forward to better weather and see if I can get better exposures. Shot all these at 200, f8, iso160 at 500mm.

Nice captures! They should give medals to folks that brave the elements for pictures like this!

Nice shots indeed. They look all puffed up against the cold. But at -15 I don't know if I puff up enough!

Very pretty visitors to your yard. You did well with those settings. I usually need to use a faster shutter speed.

You have come with a pretty nice setup Steve. The pics look very good, especially #3.
Hopefully the weather will give you a break soon. Nice job here.:)

Thanks to all for the comments. As Sandy commented, I may need to increase my shutter speed, I had two great shots of my knotty tree limb where a Tufted Titmouse once had been. Didn't even catch a glimpse of him when reviewing the shots.
The brutal temps are supposed to moderate, so hope to shoot more soon, the bright snow is still a challenge for me and so is the speed at which some of the birds come in, grab a seed and leave.
The bar is always set very high here with so many excellent images,I appreciate seeing all that are posted and hope to learn from you.

The backyard faithful are a hardy bunch aren't they Steve.
Nothing prettier than Cardinal red against a white background, although I'd agree w/Jo that the last Titmouse is sweet and very well executed.
