I expect Canon to finally produce a really good fast wide EFs prime for $982, say an EF-s 15mm f/1.2X, now that I have purchased a 6D. The X-will be their new line of eXcellent EFs lenses, comparable to the Luxury full-frame line.

I just received my 6D a hour ago, i'm charging the batteries, I got one free-one monopod-one memory card-and one Canon bag.

I think I'm going to trademark/copyright the phrase "Why do I get coloured bands on my photos?" and charge people £0.01 for each usage. AA filter removal would then make me a millionaire. Jan 09, 2014 09:41 | #21 I predict that they will finally announce the, long-awaited, 15-750mm f1.2 super-DIM lens. Initial estimates on DPReview guess that the launch price will be around $400. In 2018 it gets launched at a special-offer price of $11,999,999,999,995. Ken Rockwell (reviewing it from the spec sheet) decides it's cheap and nasty. Frank Hollis - Retired mass spectroscopist

And now is the Dual Pixel CMOS AF found on the 70D. The Sony has better DR at base ISO. The Canon FF sensors are far less noisy at high ISO. Historically, high ISO performance has been the holy grail. Mirrorless cameras are struggling in the marketplace. Canon has been around long enough to know what matters to the majority of their current and potential customers. AA filters exist for a reason. Spend resources, both time and money, to develop features to add to a product they have already sold. Features that you will expect to get for free. Sounds like a great business plan. The 7D version 2 firmware was a unique exception done for a good business reason. Please enlighten us; what was that good business reason again? Could it be, because the 7D was several years old, they had nothing better to offer, and they wanted to keep customers from moving on? Kel
