This

I haven't used it on a 5D2, but works great with a 5D3. I think if DSLR controller works fine with your camera, the wifi router will connect and run fine.

I haven't done much testing but with the WiFi connection, you can be pretty far away too.

Thanks. I just bought the app to try with my LG G2. Works great. This looks like fun. Now to find a cheap TL-MR3040.

I don't get it. The 5D mark ii does not know from WiFi. So, how can you control the camera? In this case, I think it is the tablet that WiFi the local router.

Did you click the link? It's a wireless router that your connect to the usb port of the camera, creating a wireless link to the camera instead of the USB cable. It also requires the firmware developed by Chainfire.

They have a specific Wireless router that you change the firmware on (using their image) that connects to the camera via USB, that provides the wireless connection for the camera. The tablet/phone will connect via WiFi to the router

Thanks for the correction. Very interesting.

This is excellent. I'm just in the process of getting the bits I need for my nexus, can't wait to try it out :)

I bought one (have been using the wired version of DSLR Controller) and it works very well. Seems to have good range. It does take a while to transfer raw files, though. Also, my TL M3040 still works as an access point, so that is a bonus.
