Frozen Pier on Lake Michigan

Recently a couple of Michigan lighthouse photos made the way around the internet because they beautifully captured the frozen waves. I went out to our local pier, which is on the same shore of Lake Michigan and found quite a bit of ice.

For these two, I literally moved along on my backside to get to the front of the lighthouse at the end of the pier. So SLIPPERY!

That is CRAZY, Brenda. Did you freeze your fingers off? The photos look like it was worth the cold :)

Thanks, Maureen. I kept my gloves on so my fingers weren't too much of a concern. However, it was very slippery! I feared for my backside ...and my gear should I fall. :)

Great series of shots.Ice and Lighthouses are a great combo in my book.

Nice shots. Brings back memories. Its amazing that those structures can take all of that weight, season after season.
